Personal Recommendations
I have known Rachael Davis for over 16 years, first as a client, and then as a trusted trainer and invaluable resource for my clients. I have recommended her countless times to clients of mine and get back the best feedback. She is a consummate professional, an excellent communicator, and is passionate about her work. Rachael's work in our community has improved so many lives. I am so grateful for her!

We are so grateful for Rachael and her kind, patient and clear training expertise. She sees the best in our dogs and tailors her approach to meet each dog's needs and personalities. Our dogs love her!
Rachael has not only helped our dogs grow into the best versions of themselves but has guided us to become better parents and partners to our pups.
Rachael carefully explains the trainings we are working on in ways that make sense and are attainable. She understands that we all have competing priorities and works with us to make realistic training plans that are tailored to each dog's needs. I never feel silly for asking questions.
You can tell Rachel loves what she does and truly cares.

My dog, Pudge, and I have known Rachael for a few years now and I feel so fortunate that we crossed paths. We started out with private one on one classes for nose work. I had never heard of it before but after a few classes we knew it was a perfect outlet for our dog as well as a great bonding activity to grow trust. I was just blown away by how much fun Pudge had! I didn’t know that my dog would be able to handle a group setting but eventually we were able to join the group classes and eventually we even moved on to competing in actual NACSW nose work trials. Rachael has guided us and supported us through each of these progressions. She has the ability to adapt and adjust the nose work sessions with where you and your dog are at experience wise and even where you are at on a particular day. The way Rachael approaches nose work is really refreshing. It’s always about fun for your dog (and you). I would recommend Rachael to anyone looking for a nose work instructor. She has a tremendous amount of knowledge and compassion and creates a great environment for you and your dog as you learn.

There are teachers and then, there are unique teachers. Pennsylvania has hit the jackpot with their newest resident canine instructor! Rachael Davis is unique in that she worked many years on behavior problems with rescue dogs which led her to discover Nose Work and the game's enrichment aspects. She is a CNWI and CPDT. This combination makes her observation skills quite unique in my opinion. I have been a Nose Work student of hers for many years. I enjoy her class variety and creativity but especially appreciate our class discussions regarding our observations, handling techniques, nose work theory, trial results and issues and other dog problems. Rachael is a lovely person and has become a dear friend and despite the distance, the friendship will remain.

Rachael brought compassion, humor, and a deep knowledge of dogs to get me through a tough period with my angsty adolescent pup and my sensitive boy. She really understood the different ways they react to the world and created a training plan that’s realistic for them and me. She appreciated their quirks, celebrated our successes, and helped troubleshoot challenges along the way. And my dogs love her!
My dogs have a blast at Rachael’s nose work classes — even when they’re worn out, they don’t want the searches to end. Rachael’s guidance has helped me better understand my dogs in and out of the search areas.

I have competed in a variety of dog performance sports over the past 30 years but am new to Nose Work. How lucky Lincoln and I were that Rachael had space for us in her classes! I’ve taken classes with instructors that were great dog trainers but not so good at teaching the people part of the “team”. Rachael is good with the dogs and a great teacher, too. We have learned so much and every class gets more fun for both of us. It is clear she is an expert in Nose Work training and more importantly wants everyone to have a good time while learning the sport.

Rachael has been an amazing resource for my dogs and me, both as a K9 Nose Work instructor and a behavior trainer. I was looking for something to keep my young Corgi busy and something we could do together so we took Rachael's intro course to K9 Nose Work. And then because we found her intro course so fun and educational, I moved to the next level with my Corgi and started my Brittany in the intro course, and we just kept going from there. She is constantly helping me to be a better handler and encouraging my dogs to keep enjoying “the game”. We all enjoy each class and new game, and both dogs come home tired (which is always good). Apart from the nose work classes, Rachael has been helping me improve my dogs’ relationship with each other in our house. She is truly invested in my work with them and has celebrated each step of progress along the way. And she is always there to help me when I have questions as we move through different exercises in the process. I am very thankful for all the help Rachael has provided to me and my dogs.

I have had the pleasure of working with Rachael Davis as both a dog trainer and a K9 Nosework instructor for my Lab mix rescue Layla. Rachael knows dogs through and through and her positive reinforcement training has made an extreme difference in Layla’s reactivity to other dogs. Her training methods have also helped Layla become a more polite well-rounded dog. I also need to add that K9 Nosework is an exceptional training method for reactive dogs as using their nose is very calming to a dog. I recommend Rachael very highly for both training and Nose work.
